Tahya Misr Funds 10,900 projects for female breadwinners worth EGP173m

Fund announced it supported over10,900 projects for neediest women worth EGP173m

The fund explained that this came within the framework of the implementation of ‘Mastoura’ loan project.

Notably, the ‘Mastoura’ project was launched by President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi last year, corresponding with his declaration of 2017 as the year of Egyptian women, with total funds of EGP 250m.

The Minister of Social Solidarity Ghada Waly announced earlier that “the amount of the loan for Mastoura ranges from EGP 4,000-20,000 for women who are able to work, but have no fixed income, and that the load is provided to them not in cash, but in a project.”

For his part, Tamer Abdel Fattah, the financial and administrative director of the Tahya Misr fund stated that Mastoura offers opportunities to achieve economic empowerment of dependent women so that they can cope with their daily burdens and exploit their potential to ensure a decent life for them and their families.
