First phase of fourth metro line to be supervised by multinational consortium

The consortium includes Japanese Nippon Koei Group, Nippon Civic, Occidental Oriental Consult, ACE, and EHAF Consulting Engineers

The National Authority for Tunnels (NAT) has accepted the technical offer submitted by a consortium of companies to supervise the implementation of the first phase of the fourth line of the metro.

The consortium includes the Japanese Nippon Koei Group, Nippon Civic, Occidental Oriental Consult, ACE Consulting Engineers, and EHAF Consulting Engineers. The offer was proposed for the tender previously put forward by NAT in October last year to choose the advisory body to supervise the implementation.

NAT recently assigned the implementation of the first part of the first phase of the fourth metro line to the Egyptian Construction Company (Mokhtar Ibrahim) for EGP 38.6m. The project includes rerouting the facilities networks that conflict with the implementation of the first division of the first phase of the fourth metro line. This division includes five metro stations.

The same company was also awarded the project for rerouting the facilities network that conflict with the second division of the first phase of the fourth metro line at a cost of EGP 38.5m. This division includes seven stations.
